The CHS Choral Program
The CHS Choirs are all award-winning ensembles and we work hard to maintain a high level of performance standards. Concert Choir and Chora Nova are nationally ranked in the top 10% of High School choirs in the country. Chamber Singers has competed at National Championships in Washington D.C., Los Angeles, and Chicago taking the top position at those festivals, which makes them one of the top high school choirs in the country. They have also competed in international festivals in Hawaii, Sydney, Los Angeles, and New York receiving gold awards. We could not maintain this high level of achievement if it were not for the support of our parents, guardians, and families!
Ensemble Descriptions
Concert Choir: Our large mixed ensemble. This course focuses on choral literature of all styles and historical time periods. Their repertoire consists of songs for larger choruses. Admittance into this ensemble is by audition only.

Chora Nova: Our large Treble voice choir. This ensemble studies choral music of all styles and time periods that are composed expressly for treble voices. Admittance into this ensemble is by audition only.

Chamber Singers: The smaller mixed ensemble. This group is our advanced choir that performs a wide variety of music from all time periods and in all styles with a large portion of the music a cappella. This is our traveling ensemble and there is a significant amount of time spent outside of class. Admittance into this ensemble is by audition only.
